Repairing Your Windows—Caulking

You should know that the main problem with a foggy thermal pane window is a defective joint mechanism or caulking.

The airtightness of the caulking on your windows constitutes the basis of their energy efficiency. Know that there is a high percentage of moisture in ambient air and, when the caulking is defective, ambient air seeps into the vacuum between the panes of your thermal pane windows.

The sun then heats your window, forms a vacuum process and causes moisture to appear between the two panes. Because this process occurs repeatedly, you will see the moisture rate increase and even cause drops of water to appear inside.

Remember that when this occurs, your window loses its original R-value thermal rating.

Thermos Sans Buée offers solutions to limit the causes of the fog and restore the thermal rating of your thermal pane windows.
